The Monk Feodor
(Theodore) the Silent of Pechersk chose the exploit of silence, so as to
dwell constantly in thought of God and to safeguard himself in temptation even
in word. He was glorified by the Lord with a gift of wonderworking. His memory
is celebrated also on 28 August.
